I.F. Aragorn
  foaled May 9th 2003
IWSR reg#  000017FA
sire:   Gallahad du Luc       dam: O.A. Malaika

The day he was born he was dubbed 'Strider'. He had such long legs he reminded Chuck of creatures by that name in the Jim Henson movie, the Dark Crystal. The name stuck and when it came time to register him it seemed only natural to make his 'official' name Aragorn.
Though originally we had intended to sell Strider, I knew that idea was gone when I came out one evening and found Chuck sitting in the stall and Strider asleep with his head in Chuck's lap.
I really do not know who chose who, but the two of them were meant to be a pair.
Strider is sensible, fearless, and loves to be involved (and admired) . He has the perfect attitude for an exhibition horse, so he is working toward being Chuck's future performance mount.

Pure Spanish Andalusian:

foaled  July15th 2002

IALHA Reg #6675(S)

sire: Monaco #2944(S)       dam: Bonaparte IR #1933(S)

It has taken quite awhile for me to find a way to write Vallejo's story. I still cannot describe how much this horse means to me. He belonged to the little sister of my heart, Karen Garner. Karen and I were delivering Vallejo's dam, Bonaparte to her new owner in Arizona, when approximately 100 mile outside of Phoenix we were rear ended by a speeding semi. Miraculously Bonaparte was not injured; the trailer stayed upright and was pushed to the side of the road. The vehicle; however was pushed from the trailer and rolled numerous times. Karen did not survive the accident that night.  My world is an emptier place without her. When the question of what to do with Vallejo faced her husband John, I asked if he would allow me to buy him. Instead John gave him to me, saying he knew Karen would have wanted it.

John and I share Vallejo now, but he will always be Karen’s. Someday I will fulfill her dream and take him to nationals. It will not matter if we win, because I know somewhere Karen will be watching and smiling.

I love you little sister

Your big sister
